Almost three weeks ago my wife and I had a very special release on our own: the birth of our daughter Smilla. While some already knew that I'd become a father, others might now understand why I was so hard to catch during the last weeks. And well, what can I say, it's so great to have little baby daughter. What young parents always keep telling you is so true: your whole focus changes, nothing is like before. But fortunately that seems to be only true in a positive sense, in our case at least. Despite this little, uhm, shortfall in sleep budget, I really can't complain.
Although my focus shifted a little during the last weeks, I am still passionate about TYPO3. I'm confident that I'll find the right balance between job and family life. In that sense it was very important for me to stay with my girls during these first weeks, even if I had to pass this year's snowboard tour. So, I hope you don't mind that I follow you from this side of the net, and rest assured that I do envy you – just a tiny bit ...
